¡Hola! Soy Diego, profesor certificado de español con más de 7,000 clases en italki. Como periodista y sociólogo, te enseño el idioma a través de historias reales, debates sociales y la vibrante cultura latinoamericana. En mis clases, usamos desde novelas hasta series para que aprendas gramática, vocabulario y pronunciación como un nativo, mientras exploramos la diversidad de América Latina. Ideal para quienes buscan un español auténtico y con contexto. ¿Listo para aprender conmigo? ¡Reserva tu clase ya! I strive for dynamic classes. Following a learning structure designed for each student based on their interests and personal characteristics, the strategy aims to enable students to learn while having fun. For students who request it, I provide free bibliographical material to reinforce learning. I also work with television series, films, and audiovisual and literary productions in Spanish to learn vocabulary and grammar. For those who want to learn Spanish, I propose that we develop together a strategy where they can learn and have fun based on four dimensions (speaking, listening, reading, writing), always taking into account grammar and pronunciation. For those who want to practice, I suggest that we talk about the topics of your interest.

Diego is the best! Firstly, he could talk about anything - there’s never really a dull moment. We chat about current events, what we’re watching, our personal lives, our careers - I can tell he’s genuinely interested in helping me express myself in Spanish in a way that’s relevant to there here and now. He’s also always challenging me right at the place I need it - he always has material prepared and is ready to get academic, but also senses what we need that day and is willing to challenge my conversational abilities if needed. He’s a true teacher in that way - meeting me and challenging me the way I need. Couldn’t be happier to have Diego as a teacher!

Diego has been my Spanish teacher for over a year now. After our first conversation I already knew he was the right teacher for me. Not only is he a very structured and skilled teacher, but studying with him is also fun. I was amazed by how much my Spanish improved after only two months of studying with him. You can see that he does not stubbornly go through a curriculum but adapts to the needs and abilities of each of his students. Our lessons normally start with a little chat and because Diego is knowledgeable about many interesting topics, the conversation never runs out. Afterwards the current grammar topic is introduced by means of exercises, examples or explanations. Depending on the subject and my needs there are also homework assignments that are always very creative and fun. I am looking forward to going to Argentina and visiting Diego in Buenos Aires because he’s not only a great teacher but also a very nice and fun person. :) Muchas gracias!

I have been taking classes with Diego for over a year and he’s helped me grow in my Spanish language learning and continues to work with me to help me build my confidence. His classes are structured around his lesson plans, but he is flexible and leaves room for conversations and practice. He also caters to the context I am learning Spanish in and makes learning fun - he has a fun sense of humor as well as videos that he shares on various topics to continue practicing outside of class. I can’t recommend Diego highly enough- he’s a a really excellent teacher! 🙂
