Hi! I'm Khaila, an Arabic language teacher and a visual artist from Palestine currently living in Turkey. Have worked in education and scientific research for over 4 years, chiefly specializing in relationships between fine art, literature, and history and this is my second year working on Italki as an Arabic teacher.
I am interested in learning languages, so I get to know about different cultures and I express that knowledge through my paintings. I also like dancing, reading, and watching movies.
As for other hobbies, I am interested in physical activities such as hiking. With hiking, I have had the opportunity to develop my photography of natural scenes.Ja jako nauczyciel
Since my graduation, I have been working in teaching where I taught the Arabic language- the Palestinian and Jordanian accent (Levantine dialect) in terms of general conversation, grammar, literature, morphology, writing, listening, Arabic slangs, writing proofreading and Quran for non-Arabic speakers and for native speakers as well.

Never thought I'd have so much fun discussing a topic I don't like! LOL, today we learned terms related to sports. This actually made for some great conversation and I feel I learned a lot this morning. Khaila asked lots of questions, using new and old vocabulary. She was also extremely encouraging, even when I forgot words she's taught me more than once ;)

Khaila is such a great teacher! She always makes sure I’m following along and doesn’t mind patiently explaining things with as many examples as I need. I also really appreciate her kind and encouraging attitude, along with high level of professionalism, whether we’re working on the materials she prepared beforehand or during lessons in a more spontaneous conversational format. I totally recommend!
