I love my classes with Silviana! We very quickly found shared interests and she is great at engaging with me on topics that genuinely motivate me to want to learn to communicate my thoughts well in Spanish. In particular, I have a deep interest in discussing politics/ethics/current events. She sent me an article to review as a baseline, and asked interesting questions, patiently listening while I learned to express things.

I’ve been to at least three different teachers before Silvana, and I’ve talked to plenty of people trying to learn Spanish through italki. One thing we all agree on is that finding a good teacher is absolutely key, and honestly, it’s not always easy. So when I say Silvana is far ahead of many, honestly most, teachers on italki, I don’t say that lightly. She has an amazing way of adapting to your learning style, whether you prefer something more organized and structured, something more casual, or a mixture of both. It’s very rare to find somebody who is pleasant, entertaining, and genuinely a highly competent teacher all at the same time. I’m really glad I found someone who truly cares about your progress and about you actually learning Spanish. I can’t recommend her enough. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
