Great lesson with Jie! We talked about back-to-school and 财神节. Jie told me about the schools where she lives. We talked about generational differences and teaching at university. Jie was really patient and understanding with my speaking mistakes!

Great lesson with Jie! We talked about different topics, including the weather, different holidays in the US and China and some family drama. Jie is very good at keeping the conversation going. She did a great job of being patient while I looked up a few words that I couldn't bring to mind in the moment (but that I should have remembered)!

Great lesson with Jie! Jie told me some of the story "Journey to the West" (西游记). She also talked about the other four classic Chinese novels. I also knew about "Dream of the Red Chamber" (红楼梦). Jie is very good at telling stories, which was very entertaining!

Great lesson with Jie! We talked about many different things, such as "the freshman 15", instant noodles, peanut butter and homework during summer vacation. We also talked about electricity cost and differences between US, Canada and China. Jie told a lot of funny stories - her lessons are always interesting and enjoyable!
