Hello, my name is Masahiro. I participated in the Japan Foundation's ’Nihongo Partners' Program for 6 months as an assistant teacher at a high school in Indonesia. I currently work at a Japanese language school.
I was born and raised in Tokyo and live in Yokohama now, so I speak standard Japanese. My hobbies are mountaineering, running, photography and traveling all over the world. (I have travelled to more than 30 countries. Especially, I love rail travel with my backpack.) I have been involved in financial business for more than 30 years and have worked overseas in countries such as USA and Thailand. I have had 30 lessons with Masahiro-sensei and my Japanese has really improved. I am sad that he will be traveling for the next 6 months but in March I will start lessons with him again and look forward to it. Have fun in Indonesia!

I really appreciate Masahiro-San’s guidance and instruction. He does a great job giving feedback, letting me try to write and use grammar and phrases on my own, and the showing me how I was incorrect or could say it in a more natural manner. I’m happy I found him on italki. I look forward to many more lessons.

個人的な事情で今日、最後の授業を受けましたが、可能性があればぜひ将来また授業を受けたいと思います。半年間ぐらいしかなかったのに、日本語能力、特に会話力を非常に上達することができました。敬語やビジネス礼儀についても山ほどな情報や指導をもらって、心の底から感謝しています。

As an upper intermediate Japanese learner, Masahiro-san gave me exactly the lesson I needed in correcting some of my common grammar mistakes and bad/rude habits I have picked up over the years.
