🇷🇺 You learned «ИДТИ» = “to walk / to go”… and then Russians do THIS. 😅 Because идёт is used in way more situations than physical movement. 🚶 Он идёт домой. → He’s walking home. 🌧️ Дождь идёт. → It’s raining. 🎬 Фильм идёт два часа. → The movie lasts two hours. 👗 Тебе идёт! → It suits you! / It looks great on you! So if someone tells you: «Тебе очень идёт это платье!» …they’re definitely NOT saying your dress is walking anywhere. 😂 They mean: ✨ That dress really suits you!” 💡 This is why translating Russian word by word doesn’t always work.
