Here in August many of us are taking vacations which of course requires us to use the correct terminology. However, what's the difference between a vacation, vacation time and holidays 🤔 Vacation- usually refers to a special trip away from home. However, it can also simply mean time off aka vacation time Vacation time- refers to time off from work which can also mean paid time off if your company still compensates you Holiday- special day on the calendar such as Independence Day "I will be on holidays" is a common error I see when the person is actually saying "I will be on vacation." Here's a way to say them all together... I am excited for Independence Day! This holiday allows me to take vacation time and enjoy a trip to the beach with my family. It will be a great vacation!
