When a country has good teachers, it has a good education system. In this essay, I will briefly discuss the characteristics of a good teacher. To begin with, a good teacher has a special way of communicating with students to instill in them a love of what they are learning. He or she will have creative ways of educating, rather than the stodgy, traditional way where the teacher speaks all the time and the students just listen. Moreover, a good teacher listens to his or her students and tries to help them solve their problems in life, by building confidence within his or her students. In a nutshell, it is crucial for teachers to listen to students -especially children and teenagers- as school is effectively their second home.
