For these reasons our first class will always be focused on getting to know each other and discussing expectations and desires for the classroom, as well as determining your needs and interests. We can then tailor your class to optimise the learning experience.

I want to first understand your goals and build the structure of our class from there. As someone who has experienced Italki as a student and has had different experiences with how helpful different teaching styles are, I have the lived experience of what is helpful as a student learning a new language. I feel that orientating firstly around your goals is most important. Secondly, I feel often the time can pass just chatting without really delving into your problem areas or goals. It will be my goal as your teacher to of course converse naturally, but also I want to remain attentive to that grammatical mistakes aren't repeating and we are making genuine progress in our sessions together!
