After I got my first college degree, I started to explore Portuguese as a foreign language universe just out of curiosity. Then I fell in love with the idea and experience of showing and spreading our language to the world. Now I hold a post graduate degree in this field and I have a degree in translation studies as well. Besides being teacher Marielle, I am also a gym lover, an ardent baiana, and a forever life learner and I love challenges . EMPOWERING people through language learning for more than 6 years I've got over 3 years of experience teaching Portuguese and English online, and before that I used to be an English tutor for adults, which gives me 7 years of experience. I'm very patient with my students and I encourage them to make mistakes because that's the only way they can learn. Details are very important to me, so I tend to focus on them; things such as pronunciation, accent mark( if we are writing ), sentence structure are very important. I like to correct without interrupting so I usually let my students finish their sentence before giving them a tip.

In the meantime I applied to be a community tutor here at Italki where I have been teaching not only English but also Portuguese and Spanish.
