🧠 How to practice the gerund form in Portuguese?
Easy: use a picture! Pick any photo with people or actions, and describe what’s happening using verbs in the gerund (the -ing form in English).
💡 In Portuguese, we form the gerund with:
👉 estar + verb in -ndo
Example – imagine a photo of a group of friends at a bar:
🍻 Ela está bebendo um drink . = She is drinking cocktail.
😂 Ele está rindo alto. = He is laughing loudly.
📱 A moça está mexendo no celular. = The girl is checking her phone.
🪑 Eles estão conversando. = They are chatting.
📺 Está passando um jogo na TV. = A game is playing on the TV.
