I was raised bilingual in Spain (German/Spanish) and have also lived in Germany and England. I majored in English and minored in Philosophy from the University of Munich and have a Master's in Medieval and Renaissance Studies from UCL. Over the past decade, I have done work as a freelance translator in all three languages. I am Cambridge CELTA-certified (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and DADIC-certified (Diploma de acreditación docente del Instituto Cervantes = acrediting diploma for the teaching of the Spanish language, awarded by the Cervantes Institute). I'm currently working on getting my language teaching certification for German, as well. I know that to many people the German language appears overwhelmingly difficult, to the point that your brain gets blocked while trying to produce a phrase, out of fear of making one of the seemingly thousands of possible mistakes. Natürlich bin ich "Bairisch Muttersprachler" und biete deswegen auch Unterrichtsstunden in bairischer Sprache an.
