Hello! My name is Anna Sapena. I am a Ukrainian children’s writer, poet, PhD, and founder of the School of Therapeutic Fairy Tales and Creative Writing. I teach language through stories, creativity, imagination, and real conversation. My approach is warm, inspiring, and practical. Many of my students come to me as complete beginners, so if you are only starting your language journey, I will be happy to guide you step by step. We can begin with simple phrases, basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday conversations — calmly, clearly, and without pressure. If you already have some knowledge and want to practice more, we can focus on speaking, reading, listening, natural expressions, and building confidence. I create my own materials and adapt every lesson to your goals, interests, and pace. In our lessons, we can: * practice real-life conversations; * work on pronunciation and natural speech; * learn vocabulary through stories and creative associations; * read and discuss short texts, fairy tales, and literature; * speak about books, culture, childhood, family, travel, dreams, and everyday life; * build confidence step by step. I also have my own YouTube channel with fairy tales. Conversational Russian Lessons Hi! I’m Anastasia (Анастасия), I’m 34, and I’m a native Russian speaker living in Germany. I have a lot of experience learning languages: I speak English, German, Spanish and a little Italian. Since I’m passionate about languages, I decided to share that passion by helping people learn my native language, Russian. I teach conversational classes where we can talk about anything. The goal is to give you speaking practice in a supportive environment. I’ll gently correct your mistakes and suggest new words and phrases. I can also prepare a structured lesson on a topic you tell me about in advance. We can also learn Russian by watching TV series or reading books, or simply work through a specific level step by step (from A1 up to C2). I have a background in Life Sciences (biology and chemistry), so if you’re interested in discussing science, I’d be happy to. I’m also a creative person, and right now I’m exploring watercolor painting. Write to me and let’s plan your first lesson!

Katya is a wonderful Russian teacher! She uses her own materials, which are divided into vocabulary sets, reading, grammar, and audio/writing. What I sincerely appreciate about her teaching is that her lessons are very structured, so you not only know what you should do to improve but also how to do it! She gives ample feedback on speaking and writing, but balances it well so you do not feel overwhelmed by the number of mistakes you are making while building the confidence to speak Russian at the same time. I enjoy every single one of our lessons and conversations together! Thanks to her, learning Russian has been less overwhelming for me now, more of a fun hobby to pursue. Highly recommend her! :)

Polina is an exceptional language instructor. I usually struggle to learn languages, but she skillfully guided me through Russian grammar to get me ready for a big trip. Thanks to her patience and clear lessons, I am leaving with confidence to navigate a month-long journey through a very remote region. I am so grateful for her help and guidance. Her style is to provide resources and structure that you can always return to when you've forgotten materials from past lessons. Very handy. I've had several language instructors in a couple of different languages and Polina is by far the best tutor I've ever met. THANK YOU POLINA! Highly recommended!

It’s always such immense pleasure to have natural, intellectually engaging, and spontaneous conversations every week with Dariya, who seems to have read or become intimately familiar with every major work of literature in and out of Russia. Our discussions dive into immersive discussions of daily life, books, history, and culture that leave plenty of room for self-reflection and opportunities to identify and work on gaps in my knowledge of Russian. She’s such a wonderful, deeply experienced, patient and astute teacher who helps you practice Russian as effectively as possible.

I’m a native English speaker learning Russian, and I’ve had about 12 lessons with Dustin so far. I’m genuinely impressed with the progress I’ve made, and it’s all thanks to him. His knowledge of both the Russian language and culture is outstanding, and he has a real talent for explaining even the most challenging concepts in a way that makes them click. Russian grammar can be incredibly tricky, and it’s easy to get frustrated, but Dustin is patient, encouraging, and makes everything much easier to understand. Every lesson is engaging, well-structured, and enjoyable. He has made learning Russian faster, easier, and a lot more fun. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an exceptional Russian tutor.
