IELTS Preparation. The speaking Part, The Missing Element

昔は日本語の色は「赤」（red)、「青」(blue)、「白」(white)、「黒」(black)の４色しかなかったそうなんです。そして、この4色に「黄色」(yellow)と「茶色」(brown)の2色を合わせた6色が、古くから日本語で使われていた伝統的な色名とされています。
さて、この６色は　最後に「い」をつけると　形容詞になり、物の色を表現できます。
例えば、「赤い車」、「青い海」、「白い雪」「黒い髪」などですね。そして「黄色い花」、「茶色い馬」などと言うことができます。
では　この６色以外の色の形容詞は　どういいますか？例えば、greenの緑は「緑い」とは言いません。
その他の色は　○○色の　ということができますよ。
例えば、　greenの緑は「緑色の」となります。
「緑色の野菜」「ピンク色のTシャツ」「水色の傘」などですね！

ただ、例外もあって、赤、青、白、黒、なども　「赤色の靴」、「青色のかばん」などのように言うこともできます。

Si viajas a Yucatán, es muy probable que escuches expresiones que no tienen sentido en el traductor, esto se debe a la mezcla de la cultura Maya, creando modismos únicos que hacen de la península yucateca un lugar tan pintoresco.
Vamos a practicar las siguientes palabras y frases: “nené” significa bebé, pero también se usa solo “Ne” como una manera amigable para hablar a alguien, “pásame ese negociante” se usa cuando queremos que nos traigan un objeto del que no recordamos el nombre, por ejemplo, en lugar de decir pásame el vaso, decimos pásame el negociante, “a platicar al parque” es una expresión que indica que no es momento ni el lugar para conversar, “lo busco, lo busco y no lo busco” es una expresión que implica que no encontraste lo que buscabas, “Xo” es una expresión que quiere decir que hagas silencio, “acechando” se usa para indicar que alguien te está observando a escondidas, “Fo” indica desagrado, como cuándo algo huele mal,  “Maa”  y “Mare” son expresiones de sorpresa o emoción, “chichí” significa abuela y por último tenemos la palabra “quita” que se usa para referirse a que alguien dejó un lugar o como orden de que te muevas de lugar.

For the second year in a row, Taylor Swift has been named Spotify's most-played artist.

The streaming service has released its annual overview of individual listening trends as well as trends from around the world — called Spotify Wrapped.

Users can now see their top artists, songs, genres, albums and podcasts, as well as uncover which artists had the biggest year on the platform.

Swift was 2024's most-streamed artist globally, ranking in more than 26.6 billion streams. She was followed by The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Drake and Billie Eilish.

Swift also earned the title of most-streamed album in 2024, with The Tortured Poets Department, while Sabrina Carpenter had the most-streamed song both in the US and globally this year, with her summer hit "Espresso." It was streamed more than 1.6 billion times.

For users who want to look back at their listening habits over the year, there were some new features to explore on Spotify Wrapped.

These include a new data story called "Your Music Evolution," which shows three distinct musical phases for each user, and a personalized playlist based on them.

People like to share their Spotify Wrapped data on social media, although this year some complained that the roundup was missing certain features they'd previously enjoyed.

Streaming now accounts for most of the money generated by the music industry — 84% in the United States, according to the Recording Industry Association of America, and 67.3% around the world, according to a 2024 report by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, which tracks global sales.

Spotify is the largest platform of all with a reported 626 million users and 246 million subscribers.

Las expresiones ayudan a dar color a tus conversaciones y bien usadas te hacen sonar más natural en el idioma que estudias. En español, como en la mayoría de los idiomas tenemos muchas. Y en el episodio de hoy te voy a hablar de algunas que tienen algo en común. Todas ellas usan la palabra pez, o su plural, peces. En el episodio además de explicarte lo que significan te doy ejemplos de cuando podemos utilizarlas para que las veas en contexto.
