はい、こんにちは。今回はポッドキャストの17回目です。先月は色々なことがありました。いくつか新しい仕事をしました。スニーカーやマットレスが壊れました。新しいかばんと、スニーカーと、マットレスパッドを買いました。マットレスパッドは、マットレスの上に置いて使うマットです。私が好きなボンネルコイルのマットレスは売り切れだったので、一週間後にオンラインで買いました。

Hello, this is episode 17 of season 2 of my podcast. A lot has happened in the last month. I worked on some new projects. My sneakers and mattress broke. I bought a new bag, sneakers and a mattress pad. A mattress pad is a mat that you put on top of your mattress. The bonnell spring mattress I like was sold out, so I bought it online a week later.

最近、デジタルデトックスをしている人が多いです。一人の生徒さんは、ベッドの近くにスマホを置かないようにするために、アナログの時計を買ったそうです。他の生徒さんは、SNSで有名人をフォローしないようにしているそうです。有名人のアカウントはニュースが多すぎるからです。パソコンを使う時間を決めて、なるべくパソコンを使わないようにしている生徒さんもいます。私も、最近SNSのアプリをアンインストールしました。SNSは便利ですが、ずっと見ていると時間を無駄にしてしまうからです。

Many people have recently gone on a digital detox. One of my students bought an analogue clock to keep his phone away from his bed. Another student says he tries not to follow celebrities on social networking sites. This is because celebrity accounts have too much news. Another student decides when to use the computer and tries to avoid using it as much as possible. I also recently uninstalled my social networking apps, because social networking sites are useful, but if you look at them all the time, you waste time.

買い物もそうですね。お店に行くと、時間も限られているし、あまり選択肢がありません。だけど、インターネットで見るとたくさんの商品を一度に比べることができるので、なかなか決められません。また、買おうと思った商品でも、悪いレビューがあると気になってしまいます。「買わない方がいいかな」と思ってしまいます。商品を決めた後も、値段を比べることができると、買うお店やタイミングについて考えてしまいます。買った後にセールでもっと安くなると、残念な気持ちになります。だけど、こういうことを気にするのは、時間がもったいないですね。

lǎo bǎn ， píng guǒ zěn me mài ？
Boss (of the shop), how do you sell the apples/how much are the apples?
老板(lǎo bǎn, shop owner): 左边的一斤8块钱，右边的一斤9块半。
zuǒ bian de yì jīn 8 kuài qián ， yòu bian de yì jīn 9 kuài bàn 。
The one on the left is 8 yuan per Jin(=0.5kg), and the one on the right is 9.5 yuan per Jin.
顾客: 哪个更甜？
nǎ ge gèng tián ？
Which one is sweeter?
老板: 右边的更甜。
yòu bian de gèng tián 。
The one on the right is sweeter.
顾客: 那来八个吧，大点儿的。
nà lái bā gè ba ， dà diǎn er de 。
Then give me eight, the bigger ones.
老板: 好的，四斤半，收你四十就好。还要别的吗？
