In Japan when people have wedding party, friends will give money about 300 $ to them. There are receptionist in the wedding party who is one of their friends and all attendance will hand their money to the receptionist. Also I think it reflects Japanese culture very well that the people who have seat in front of bride and gloom are their coworkers and boss!
