I have denifitely seen what happened in payment over the last ten years. In fact, we are living in such a cashless society and most of us are enjoying the convenience with online payment, but meanwhile, a little portion of seniors are putting up with the difficult programs on their phones. I am really concerning about the future of human beings. We are surrounded by a variety of electronic devices which are evolved rapidly. I believe that our eyes will be scanned to pay for everything soon without taking a phone. Even chips will be moved into our body to be used to recognized our identities. The chips can connect with the internet and store all of our information. In that case, the true world might be turned into a virtual world ,and the data will be sent into your mind via the chip. The data can be changed regularly by the changes happen in reality. So, you can pay for everything just with your mind. You are able to know everything about the world. We don't need to learn everything, but we know everything. It sounds so great, but I can't predict what the world will look like at that moment.

I remember that people tended to give their friends a nice wallet as a birthday gift many year ago. A good wallet was used to store cash, credit cards and receipt. Some like put some photo stickers in their wallets. A wallet was very important and necessary for everyone. I still remember that I seldom went to bank or ATM all of a sudden a few years ago. We could install some apps which offered all kinds of bank services. From then on, Wallets and banks began to get far away from common people. I have never seen a person who waited in line before an ATM machine. Our pocket has the only owner: our lovely phone. Every payment can be done on a phone. People under 60 are excited about this kind of payments, but the elder people don't think that a payment app is simple to use, especially the features of the apps change almost every day to meet the most people's needs. Maybe all the apps will be evolved to meet everyone's need in the near future. Overall, the payment trends over the last 10 years makes our life convenient, but all these payments lead us to consume. We found tha t it's really harder to save money than before. If you don't believe, just check your back account. is it a sign of "+" or "-" on it?

I see big difference between payments ten years ago and now. Ten years ago most payments were done in cash. Only small amount of people had payment card, because it uses to be paid service. Banks started to provide payments cards as a standard and free of charge service about seven years ago. Therefore, amount of transactions made by cards have increased since then. I suppose that Covid pandemic increased that number too. Contactless cards are very popular here, more than 90% of transactions made by cards are done by contactless cards. Number of shops where cards are accepted increased as well. Nowadays, especially young people, use even their mobile phones or smart watches for paying. Personally I use Fitbit pay as it is very comfortable and my watch is accessible right on my wirst. Also, I do not need to search for my wallet while in queue, but simply activate payment mode on my watch. Barely I use cash. On the other hand some mostly elderly people do not have bank accounts or do not trust in safety of payment cards. There is also group of people who do not want to be tracked and are afraid of misusing of personal data through those cards. Last group of people who prefer cash to cards are of course criminals as they need to hide their illegal actions.
