Hello! I’m Jerónimo, a polyglot tutor from Argentina with nearly ten years of experience helping learners reach their language goals. I discovered Icelandic at the 2017 Polyglot Conference in Reykjavík, made it my specialty, and have taught it ever since—drawing on my knowledge of Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, and other languages to give each student a clear, personalized path forward.

I have nearly ten years of experience teaching languages in classrooms and one‑to‑one settings: I began with English, French, and German at local language schools and through private tutoring, and now specialize in Icelandic. My approach is comparative and goal‑oriented—I link new concepts to the languages you already know, set clear objectives for each lesson, and use authentic texts and conversation to build practical skills step by step.

I explain new points through simple comparisons with languages you already know, then guide you through short, practical exercises—speaking, listening, and reading—so you can apply what you’ve learned right away. We move at your pace, keep explanations concise, and finish with a quick recap plus optional homework or flashcards to reinforce progress between sessions.

Í dag ræddum ég og Jero um af hverju við lærum tungumál. (today, Jero and I talked about why we learn languages) We do so because of people. How to communicate thoughts and live among others. While Icelandic requires much self-study, you can't do it alone. Jero is a great teacher for your saga. He genuinely wants to help others learn. And isn't that why language exist between us in the first place? A tool to help others.

Jero is a great teacher. He is very kind and patient. He also teaches Icelandic as a foreigner who learned the language himself as an adult. Because of this, he may be a better fit for a someone who knows nothing of the language. The best thing about Jero is that he knows all types of self-study resources can show you what type of material may be best for your skill set. Thank you Jero.
