He is looking for a place in which to live. = correct - formal 1c. He is looking for a place to live. （?）= correct - see 1a 2a. a good restaurant for Tom to eat at.= correct - meaning Tom would like to be able to eat at this restaurant 2b. a good restaurant at which for Tom to eat. = incorrect Better: a good restaurant for Tom - eating is implied 3a. a good restaurant to eat at. = correct 3b. a good restaurant to eat. = incorrect - unless you are going to eat the restaurant Better: a good restaurant - eating is implied 4. - Shopping through websites has its own advantages and disadvantages. I will talk about the advantages first. It is a very easy and convenient method of shopping as you do not have to step out of your door and so it saves lots of time on commuting. In fact, the items are likely to get delivered within a couple of days. I found delivery to be one of the best options during the Covid pandemic. It was really helpful. On the other hand, it is very difficult to identify the quality and color of the product that we plan to buy, thus one ends up returning the items many times. Also, we need to spend lots of money on shipping and sometimes it will not get delivered to the correct address and back tracking the order seems more challenging, especially with international purchases. the Lantern Festival
Today is the Lantern Festival. I have been looking forward to it but I feel rather sad after watching the Lantern show.
Sometimes you (can) have high expectations but are disappointed atin the end. Sometimes you are not able to be happy during the your favorite festival.That is life.
I love the famous poem about the Lantern Festival "青玉案·元夕", especially the last line "众里寻他千百度，蓦然回首，那人却在灯火阑珊处"., but I don't know how to translate it into English.0 oyladı19 Şubat 20191
