I'm not sure the usual definitions of "plumbing" apply to this context. What if I take it literally—as in straightening something out? The time frame of the Wa-rr-ing States period (Zhanguo) is not agreed upon by all historians, with some preferring 481 BCE as the starting point when the Lu chronicles end and others plumbing for 403 BCE when the three states of Han, Wei, and Zhao were officially recognised by the Zhou court.

Is there a difference between saying "unapologetically," "with an unapologetic tone," and "without apology"? "A Mystic akin only to Emerson" W. P. Dawson, the English critic, in his own anthology states without apology: "Among the American poets I have named two — Poe and Emily Dickinson."

Are there any deliberate practices one can follow to become more attuned to the rhyming elements—such as slant rhymes—in Emily Dickinson's poetry? I'd also love to hear your thoughts on her use of the concept of circumference. Thanks. Girl, still, they shot me up in prose, as when a little girl, they put me in the closet because they liked me still. Girl and still, they are half rhymes. That's also known as a slant rhyme. Now, if you've even slightly touched upon a few of Emily Dickinson's most popular or most famous poems, that word, slant, is going to start sticking out to you. Tell all the truth, but tell it slant. We're going to get into that. She loves this idea of slant. She loves this idea of circumference, and she's utilizing linguistic metaphors in order to convey this idea of slanting.

Is it appropriate to describe language learning as "frivolous" in general? What language learning experiences have you found most fulfilling? Learning a language well requires a considerable investment of time, and few people ever reach native-level fluency or truly engage with the culture on a deeper level through the language. Moreover, it is often a pursuit accessible only to those who have enough time, energy, and financial resources to dedicate.
