" work as meaning "reading information about sth.", is it a fixed expression? 😨 "To quell nerves, chances are you spent time preparing" I know the structure works like the typical one "subject+predicate+object (you spent time)", but it gives me a different feeling or tone when reading it. For instance, during coronavirus-2019, a large number of people lost their job unexpectedly and government payments helped people to buy essentials like food and rents. That is why it is important to have the opportunity to get a basic income. Furthermore, a universal income allows human-beings to seek better jobs, get further education or start a business. In other words, there is no need to be afraid of financial status or possibility to lose the income and left without money. For example, researches in Finland in 2018 has shown that participants who received unconditional payments were more likely to engage in entrepreneurial activities and hobbies compared to those who does not have such support. In addition to that, people potentially monetize their interests due to lack of financial stress. Thus, a basic income ensures financial stability during uncertain times, allowing individuals to concentrate on looking for a new job without the added stress of financial insecurity.
