課程描述
The class uses a discussion style of teaching where students read a short story before attending class, the discussion questions in the PDF help to guide the conversation but are not necessarily the only topics as a natural conversation on literature will expand or unfold in many directions. Think of the questions as a guide. Students are expected to discuss the literary work, their thoughts, and the representation of the work in modern times (comparative literature). This class is run the same way I teach my Master's students at universities, using a round table, open communication floor for everyone to speak and provide insights. Be ready to share!

I have worked as a teacher for the past three years while developing my teaching skills through the completion of an MATESOL and enrolling in a doctoral degree in curriculum design and instruction. I have enjoyed working with a variety of ages, from children to adults. In addition to my master's degree, I also hold a teaching license from the state of Massachusetts (Grades 5-12) and have worked with the board of education in Japan for the past year. My top priority as an instructor is to see you grow, developing the skills you need to achieve your success.
