Social media has transformed the way we communicate, build relationships, and manage our mental health. It's a powerful tool that connects people worldwide, yet it also poses challenges that can affect our well-being. In this class, we will explore both the positive and negative effects of social media on various aspects of our lives.
How has social media changed the way we communicate? What are the benefits and drawbacks of forming relationships online? How does social media influence our mental health, both positively and negatively? We will also share personal experiences with social media and discuss strategies for using it responsibly. This is an opportunity to reflect on our digital habits and learn from each other in a supportive environment.
Join us for an engaging discussion on the impact of social media on our lives. This class is designed for upper intermediate and advanced English learners (B2-C1) who want to practice their listening and speaking skills while discussing a topic that is highly relevant in today's world. No prior preparation or special knowledge is required (or even a social media account) – just bring your thoughts and experiences to share!
By the end of this class, you will:
• Participate in a group discussion about the impact of social media with people from different parts of the world.
• Practice and improve your listening skills by engaging with diverse perspectives.
• Gain confidence in expressing your thoughts and experiences in English.
• Gain a greater understanding of our social media affects our lives today.
This course is aimed at intermediate to advanced English learners (B1-C1). Individual correction of your English may occasionally occur during the group class when necessary, but the teacher will aim to provide personalized feedback and corrections after the class. Feedback on your reflections will also be provided by the teacher after the class.
