課程描述
If you've seen or are excited to see Christopher Nolan's new film, Oppenheimer, then you've come to the right place. In this class we'll dive deep into discussion about the film (without spoilers in case you haven't seen it!), the man who inspired it and then debate the impact of the historical moment the film is centered around. This class is not only for people who have seen the film, but also those interested in discussing history and the defining moments that have shaped our world.
Before class you'll: 👨🏽💻 &📓
1) Watch a news segment on the film, Oppenheimer, and the life of the man upon which it is based (featuring clips of an interview with Christopher Nolan)
2) Learn some new phrases for agreeing/disagreeing, debating and expressing your opinion
In class you'll: 🗣 & 👂🏼
1) Have a relaxed conversation on the film, the historical moment it represents and nuclear weapons
2) Participate in a fun and lively debate that will sharpen your language skills
**NOTE**
-Students must do the pre-class activities before class
-Adults only please! (CLASS NOT FOR KIDS)

What I love about being a teacher is seeing a new vocabulary word or grammar concept "click" for a student. When that light bulb goes off in the student's head, I feel a deep sense of purpose and joy seeing them grow in real time. Examples I often give in class include jokes, because I believe students learn better with a laugh. However, I am not a clown and won't force myself to be funny, because I know that can be obnoxious. My worst nightmare is a bored student. What's yours?
**ALSO** I DON'T GIVE LESSONS TO KIDS. I recommend searching for a teacher with experience teaching kids. There are some great ones on Italki!
