All too commonly, we want to expand our conversational skills but are unsure how to do so without everyday daily conversations. In this series, Deep Cultural Conversations, we will explore high-level critical thinking while engaging with challenging texts to facilitate a discussion befitting the level of C1 and C2. In this lesson, we will cover the topic of mass media and the economy per one social theorist. His approach may be seen as radical to some and logical to others. All opinions are acceptable. This lesson is meant to explore those differences and discuss them with our peers through academic conversation that borderlines native or is native. C1 levels will learn new vocabulary, while C2 level students will learn how to adequately express complex notions in theory. Welcome; I look forward to our discussions.

By the end of this lesson, you'll be able to hold a conversation and provide a justified opinion on the mass media and the economy in correlation to theorists and commonly argued principles. You'll be introduced to high-level vocabulary and critical thinking in an ESL setting which will stretch the bounds of listening and oral sentence formation. These lessons are meant to challenge your current level, whether you are C1 or C2. You will be able to formulate questions to your peers regarding the topic of mass media and the economy.
