luò tuo hé yánɡ
骆驼和羊
luò tuo bǐ yánɡ ɡāo
骆驼比羊高。
luò tuo shuō：“zhǎnɡ de ɡāo hǎo。”
骆驼说：“长得高好。”
yánɡ shuō：“bú duì，zhǎnɡ de ǎi hǎo。”
羊说：“不对，长得矮好。”
tā men zǒu dào yí ɡè huā yuán pánɡ biān。
他们走到一个花园旁边。
huā yuán sì miàn yǒu wéi qiánɡ，lǐ miàn zhònɡ le hěn duō shù，
花园四面有围墙，里面种了很多树，
mào shènɡ de zhī yè shēn chū le qiánɡ wài。 
茂盛的枝叶伸出了墙外。
luò tuo tái qǐ tóu，hěn rónɡ yì jiù chī dào le shù yè。
骆驼抬起头，很容易就吃到了树叶。
kě shì，yánɡ bó zi shēn de hěn chánɡ，yě chī bú dào。 
可是，羊脖子伸得很长，也吃不到。
luò tuo shuō：“nǐ kàn，ɡāo bǐ ǎi ɡènɡ hǎo bɑ！” 
骆驼说：“你看，高比矮更好吧！”
yánɡ yáo le yáo tóu，yě bù rèn shū。 
羊摇了摇头，也不认输。
tā men yòu zǒu le jǐ bù，
他们又走了几步，
kàn jiàn wéi qiánɡ yǒu ɡè hěn ǎi de mén，
看见围墙有个很矮的门，
yánɡ dé yì dì zǒu jìn mén，qù chī huā yuán lǐ de cǎo  
羊得意地走进门，去吃花园里的草。
luò tuo ɡuì xià qián tuǐ，dī xià tóu，xiǎnɡ jìn qù，kě shì tā tài ɡāo le。
骆驼跪下前腿，低下头，想进去，可是他太高了。
yánɡ shuō：“nǐ kàn，ǎi bǐ ɡāo hǎo bɑ！”
羊说：“你看，矮比高好吧！”
luò tuo yáo le yáo tóu，yě bù rèn shū。 
骆驼摇了摇头，也不认输。
tā men qù zhǎo lǎo niú jiǎnɡ dào lǐ，
他们去找老牛讲道理，
lǎo niú shuō：“nǐ men dōu zhǐ nénɡ kàn dào zì jǐ de chánɡ chù，
老牛说：“你们都只能看到自己的长处，
méi yǒu kàn dào zì jǐ de duǎn chù。”
没有看到自己的短处。”
