こんにちは。今日は7月12日金曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、「めんどくさい」という言葉についてお話しします。

「めんどくさい」は、とてもよく使われる表現です。何かをしなければいけないけれど、やりたくないときの気持ちを表します。みなさんも「めんどくさい」と思うことがありますか？

わたしもよく「めんどくさい」と言います。実は、わたしはめんどくさがりやです。すぐ「めんどくさい」という人です。今日はこの言葉の使い方や例文について詳しく説明します。
まず、「めんどくさい」を使った例文をいくつか紹介します。

	1.	「宿題をするのはめんどくさいです。」
	•	宿題がたくさんあるとき、特にそう感じることが多いですね。
	2.	「朝早く起きるのはめんどくさいです。」
	•	特に寒い冬の朝は、布団から出るのがめんどくさいですね。
	3.	「部屋を掃除するのはめんどくさい。」
	•	部屋が汚れていると、掃除を始めるのがめんどくさいと感じることがあります。
	4.	「買い物に行くのはめんどくさい。」
	•	特に雨の日や疲れているときは、買い物に行くのがめんどくさいですね。

「めんどくさい」は、日常生活の中でたくさん使うことができる便利な言葉です。この言葉を覚えて、普段の会話で使ってみてください。
これらの表現を覚えると、日本語で性格や気持ちを表現するのがもっと上手になります。

「めんどくさい」の元の言葉は「面倒（めんどう）」です。「面倒」は、何かをするのが手間がかかると感じる時に使います。「面倒くさい」は、「面倒」と「くさい」が組み合わさって、何かをするのがさらに嫌だと感じる時に使います。これを覚えると、「めんどくさい」の使い方がもっとわかるようになりますね。

ここで、「〜や」という表現についても説明します。「めんどくさがりや」という表現は、すぐに「めんどくさい」と感じる人を指します。例えば、私のように、何かをするのが面倒だと思うことが多い人のことです。「〜や」という言葉は、その人の性格や特徴を表すためによく使われます。

	•	「はずかしがりや」 は、すぐに恥ずかしがる人。
	•	「がんばりや」 は、いつも一生懸命に努力する人。

最後に、皆さんに問題です。「めんどくさい」とはどういう意味ですか？
	1.	何かをしたくない気持ち
	2.	何かをしたい気持ち
	3	何かを考える気持ち
正解は「1.何かをしたくない気持ち」です。

・通えないこともないけど、ちょっと遠すぎます。

・ここは住めないこともないけど、せまくてうるさいです。

・行けないこともないけど、できたら行きたくないです。


こんな感じですね。

たぶんできるけど、本当はしたくない、ちょっと嫌だ、みたいな時に使いやすいですね。


はっきり言わない、少し遠回しな言い方は日本語らしいですね。

まー行けないこともないけど…。ていう時、ありますが、それはいきたくない、気持ちが強い、ということですね。
