Fake it till you make it is an expression in which a person imitates the confidence or skills they need to succeed in what they are doing in the hopes that they will eventually feel real. 

Proponents of this idea say you can fake confidence and hope that, eventually, it will inspire real confidence. 

Have you had that before? What was the event? Can you describe it in great details using English?
