La Tierra había quedado en silencio tras el Gran Apagón Digital del año 2150. Las ciudades seguían en pie, pero la tecnología que había sostenido a la humanidad durante décadas desapareció en un segundo. En medio de este caos, Lara, una ingeniera de comunicaciones, encontró una señal débil proveniente de Orión. Era un mensaje codificado en una frecuencia desconocida: "No fue un fallo. Prepárense. Ellos vienen".

Alarmada, Lara buscó respuestas. Revisó antiguos archivos y descubrió que, años atrás, una sonda enviada al espacio había interceptado una señal similar. Pero los científicos la habían descartado como interferencia. Ahora, con la red global caída y el sistema solar en aparente calma, esa advertencia parecía más real que nunca. La señal se repetía cada hora, con más fuerza, como si alguien —o algo— quisiera asegurarse de que la humanidad la escuchara.

Una noche, mientras observaba las estrellas, una enorme sombra cubrió el cielo. No era una nube ni un dron. Era una nave colosal que parecía absorber la luz a su alrededor. El mensaje volvió a sonar, pero esta vez con una frase nueva: "Es demasiado tarde". Lara corrió hacia su refugio, pero su comunicador emitió un último sonido: una voz metálica que dijo su nombre. Luego, el cielo se iluminó de verde y la señal se detuvo para siempre.

うなぎ：eel

土用（どよう）："土用（どよう）" strictly refers to the 18 days before the first days of spring, summer, fall, and winter (on the lunar calendar). Today, however, "土用（どよう）" generally refers only to the 18 days before the first day of fall.

丑（うし）の日（ひ）：The day called "丑（うし）の日（ひ）", which is translated literally as the day of the Ox, can be seen in the calendar that follows the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac. The twelve signs were introduced to Japan from ancient China. The twelve signs were allocated one by one to the days on the calendar. "丑（うし）の日（ひ）" is the day to which the second sign of the twelve signs is allocated. 

立春（りっしゅん）：the first day of spring
立夏（りっか）：the first day of summer
立秋（りっしゅう）：the first day of fall
立冬（りっとう）：the first day of winter

つまり：in other words

干支（えと）：the twelve zodiac signs in Chinese astrology

梅干（うめぼ）し：pickled plums
ウリ：a gourd
