Waar ben je geplant?
In de natuur is de plaats waar je geplant bent erg belangrijk. 
Het bepaalt wanneer je zonlicht zult ontvangen en voor hoeveel uur. Het bepaalt ook hoeveel beschutting je van de elementen zoals de wind en de regen hebt. Je plek bepaalt ook hoeveel ruimte je hebt om te groeien en of jouw type plant zijn volledige potentie kan bereiken. 

In het leven is het daarom belangrijk dat we uitzoeken waar we zijn geplant en wat voor soort plant wij zijn. Zo zal het makkelijker voor je worden om jouw eigen verwachtingen te managen en rekening te houden met je eigen specifieke behoeftes. 

Where are you planted?
In nature the place where you are planted is very important.
It determines when you will receive sunlight and for how many hours. It also determines how much shelter you have from the elements like the wind and the rain. Your spot also determines how much room you have to grow and whether your type of plant can reach its full potential.

In life it is therefore very important that you find out where you are planted and what kind of plant you are. This way it will be easier to manage your expectations and cater to your own specific needs.

Waar ben je geplant?

Simply put, gratitude is a habit. It’s a way of looking at the world and all the good things in it with a feeling of appreciation, regardless of whether or not your current situation is to your liking.

Gratitude is a heart-centered approach to being at peace with yourself and with all you have. When you practice this feeling of gratitude, it attracts even MORE things into your life for which to be grateful.

こんにちは～！マルハバ！サウジの日本語の先生、佳子です＾＾
みなさんー！お元気ですかー？
またまたお久しぶりです！５か月以上もポッドキャストお休みしていましたね。
実は２か月ほど前に、夫の実家からアパートに引っ越してちょっと忙しかったです。
期末テストが５月中旬から始まり、期間中１時間で終わりなので、学校の近くでテストが終わるのを待っていて、仕事はできませんでした。そして５月末から３か月の長い夏休みが始まりました。７月中旬から１か月日本に一時帰国予定でしたが、夏休みが始まったとたん、夫のお父さんから引っ越しの提案がありました。日本帰国まで１か月半、サウジに帰ってきてから新学期が始まるまで２週間。ものすごくばたばたしそうでしたが、夏休みを逃すと引っ越しのタイミングがかなり遅れそうなので、夏休み中に引っ越すことにしました。
アパート探しをはじめて１か月ほどで、完ぺきではないけどそこそこいいアパートを見つけました。ただ、日本に行くまで２週間もありませんでした。家具や家電も一から買わないといけません。住むのは帰国後でもよかったのですが、今から家具を買うと届くのに時間がかかる場合があるので、その場合は少し面倒なことになります。帰国後から家具を探すと新学期までかなりばたばたしてしまいます。苦渋の選択でしたが、予約済みの航空券やホテルなどをすべてキャンセルして引っ越しに専念しました。夫にほとんどの家具・家電探しを任せたのですが、こだわりがあり一つの大きな家具を決めるのに１－２週間かかりました。結局、アパートに住み始めたのは新学期が始まる１週間前。しかもダイニングチェアー、ベッドがまだ届いてなかったり、息子の寝室の家具など未購入のものもたくさんありました。
息子は小学二年生になったのですが、去年に比べるとかなりスムーズに学校に行ってくれたので、息子が学校に行っている間は他のまだ買わなきゃいけないものを探したりしていました。１０月に入ってやっと必要な家具が全部揃い、レッスンできる時間も増えました。

また、このアパートはリビング一つ、キッチン、ゲストルーム、寝室二つ、オフィス一つ、バスルーム３つがあるので、掃除が大変です。日本ではこのアパートの半分くらいの広さのアパートに住んでいたので、掃除は楽でした。夫の実家ではメイドが洗い物や掃除をしてくれたので、家事は料理と洗濯くらいでした。今は完ぺきを目指さず、ある程度のきれいさを保てる程度で掃除をしています。

夫の実家暮らしも結構よかったのですが、今は家族３人だけで気を遣わず暮らせる感じが好きです。なんでも自分のやり方でできて、いつでも料理や洗濯ができる。息子は時々、「おばあちゃんの家に住みたいよー。猫に会いたいよー。」と言ってますけどね。

それでは今日のフレーズです。今日のフレーズは「苦渋の選択」です。苦渋の選択（くじゅうのせんたく）とは、「どちらを選んでもつらい」「どちらもいやだけど、どちらかを選ばないといけない」というとても困った状況での選び方という意味です。例えば、「会社をやめるか、つらい仕事を続けるか、苦渋の選択です。」

次回またどうやってアパートを探したかとかなど引っ越しの詳しい話をしたいと思います。
