In the previous podcast, I mentioned that investing in yourself is a must when you want to glow or level up. It is a must to have  a personal development budget that will not break the bank.
I will share some of my best practices in this podcast on how I budget, what I spend on depending on my goals.

How to determine your personal development budget?

This story uses words from '3000 most common words in English'. 

TV NEWS music plays and introduction animations fly across the screen. A reporter is standing on the street. Behind her is a loud group of protesters. They are holding signs and chanting. The reporter is yelling to be heard over the noise.

Reporter: I’m here in front of the Ace’s Chicken Company factory. As you can see behind me, 
protesters have gathered to take down the chicken giant. They are chanting Down with Ace and other slogans. They have set up a sound system and are playing loud hip-hop music—which, as insider sources have speculated, is Ace’s most hated genre of music. Let’s now speak to the leader of this movement, Sally. Why are you all out here today?

Sally: We’re not going to stand for the propaganda that Ace has been spreading. He’s published lies about me and is trying to manipulate the public perception of his slaughterhouse. The truth must be known. Ace’s chicken is killing people!

Reporter: And what do you have to say to the opposition? As you know, there is a vocal group of employees who have publicly commented that Ace is a kind leader who only wants what’s best for public health.

Sally: They have been paid off! My sources have told me that Ace personally approached every one of them and offered huge amounts of money, and if they declined, he said he would have their careers destroyed. Ace is only interested in how people perceive him. He isn’t a genuine
manufacturer. He’s a powerful baby!

Reporter: You heard it here, folks. Sally, an ex-employee, claims that Ace is spreading propaganda and paying employees to pretend. Sally, what is it that your group wants?

Sally: We want to see that evil dictator fall!

Reporter: Strong words. Back to you in the newsroom.

「ではお日さまの出るまでどうぞ。もう一ぺん。ちょっとですから。」
　かっこうはまた頭を下げました。
「だまれっ。いい気になって。このばか鳥め。出て行かんとむしって朝飯に食ってしまうぞ。」
　ゴーシュはどんと床をふみました。
　するとかっこうはにわかにびっくりしたように いきなり窓をめがけて飛び立ちました。
    そしてガラスにはげしく頭をぶっつけて ばたっと下へ落ちました。
「何だ、ガラスへ ばかだなあ。」
    ゴーシュはあわてて立って 窓をあけようとしましたが 
    元来この窓はそんなにいつでもするする開く窓ではありませんでした。
    ゴーシュが窓わくをしきりにがたがたしているうちに またかっこうがばっとぶっつかって
    下へ落ちました。見ると くちばしのつけねからすこし血が出ています。
「いま あけてやるから待っていろったら。」
   ゴーシュがやっと二寸ばかり窓をあけたとき、かっこうは起きあがって
   何が何でもこんどこそというように じっと窓の向うの東のそらをみつめて、
   あらん限りの力をこめた風で ぱっと飛びたちました。
   もちろんこんどは前よりひどくガラスにつきあたって かっこうは下へ落ちたまましばらく
   身動きもしませんでした。つかまえてドアから飛ばしてやろうと ゴーシュが手を出しましたら
   いきなりかっこうは目をひらいて飛びのきました。そしてまたガラスへ飛びつきそうにするのです。
   ゴーシュは思わず足を上げて窓をばっとけりました。ガラスは二三枚物すごい音して砕くだけ
   窓はわくのまま外へ落ちました。そのがらんとなった窓のあとをかっこうが矢のように
   外へ飛びだしました。そしてもうどこまでもどこまでも まっすぐに飛んで行って
  とうとう見えなくなってしまいました。
  ゴーシュはしばらくあきれたように外を見ていましたが、
  そのまま倒れるように へやのすみへころがって 眠ってしまいました。


＊正しくは「ガラスは 二三枚 ものすごい音して」です。
　すみません、「もの」を飛ばしてしまいました。
