Let's Pop, Pop, Popcorn!

日本語のレッスンを受けていたり、日本で勉強やお仕事をされている方はきっと、「よろしくお願いします」や「お疲れ様でした」という言葉をよく耳にする事と思います。
こう声をかけられた時に、何て返したらいいんだろう・・・？と困った事はありますか？

私の授業でも、授業の最初に「よろしくお願いします」、授業の最後に「お疲れ様でした」と言いますが、生徒さんが授業を受け始めて間もない頃は、なんと返せばいいのか分からなくて固まってしまう😳という状況を見かける事も多いです。

返し方は簡単で、「よろしくお願いします」と言われたら、そのまま「よろしくお願いします」と返し、「お疲れ様でした」と言われたら「お疲れ様でした」と返せばいいだけです。
簡単ですね✨✨

でも、どうして日本人は毎回この二つの言葉を使うんでしょうか？

「よろしくお願いします」にはたくさんの意味があります。
まず、授業の前に言う場合、それには「一緒に日本語の勉強を頑張りましょう！」とか「楽しく勉強しましょうね♪」とか「今日のレッスン楽しんでもらえたら嬉しいです😊」という様な意味が込められていると思います。少なくても私の場合はそんな意味を込めています。

初めて会った時に「よろしくお願いします」というのは「会えて嬉しいです。これから仲良くしてください。」という様な意味を込めていて、
ビジネスの場面で相手に何かをお願いする時に使う場合、「この件はあなたにお任せしました。」とか「ご協力お願いします。」を意味しています。
会議やプレゼンの前に「よろしくお願いします」と言うのは「お時間を割いていただきありがとうございます。これから始まる会議を有意義なものにしたいと思っています。どうぞお付き合いください。」という様なニュアンスが含まれていると思います。

では、「お疲れ様でした」にはどんな意味があるでしょうか？
授業の最後に私が「お疲れ様でした」という時、それには英語では"well done", "Good job today!","Thank you for your hard work!"
中国語では“今天你做得非常好”，”辛苦你了“という意味を込めています。

他の場面やビジネスのシーンでも、相手の努力や苦労を労(ねぎら)う時に使う言葉です。

今日はこの二つの言葉の後ろに隠された意味をご説明しましたが、
日本人の中には特に意味はなく、テンプレート的な感じで、軽い挨拶として「よろしくお願いします」や「お疲れ様でした」を使う人も多いと思います。

生徒さんにこうした説明をする時、「たいして意味がないなら言わなくてもいいんじゃないですか？」と言われる事があります。
その意見も確かに一理あると思いますし、日本のビジネスシーンではあまりにもこの二つの言葉が多用されるので、私自身ちょっとおかしく感じる事もあるのですが、授業ではやっぱりこの二つのあいさつを使います。

その理由は二つあります。
①日本語学習者さん達に、授業を通して日本人のコミュニケーションの取り方・文化も学んでいただきたいと思っているから。
②労(ねぎら)いや感謝の言葉を伝えるのはやっぱり大事(だいじ)だと思うから
です。

اليكس: انا برضو بحب ادرس اللغة العربية, و في افلام كتيره باللهجة المصرية, لكن برضو في برامج باللهجة السودانية. 
خالد: انت عارف انو في كلمات و حاجات كتيره متشابة بين اللهجة السودانية و اللغة الانجليزية؟ 
اليكس: زي شنو؟ 
خالد : في حروف اللغة العربية الفصحى زي حرق القاف باللهة السودانية بتنطق G زي كلمة Green يعني مثلا كلمة  قرد بنقول gred 
اليكس: واو دي حاجه مثيرة فعلا. 
خالد: عارف كمان في امثال بالانجليزي و بتتقال بالعربي زي

EN ESTA LECTURA VERÁS LO QUE LE SUCEDIÓ A SOFÍA CON LA GIMNASIA.

Antes de comenzar la lectura

1. ¿Qué actividad de las que haces en la semana es la que más te gusta?

3. Adivina qué le ocurrió a Sofía con la gimnasia.

Presta atención a la lectura de tu profesor

A Sofía no se le da muy bien la gimnasia.

-LOS juegos de pelota son los que menos le gustan.

Casi todos los niños de la clase son más altos y más
 fuertes que ella. Y siempre lleva las de perder.

Cada vez que toca el balón, le gritan:

—Eres un desastre, Sofía.

Lo de ser un desastre a Sofía no le gusta nada.

Así que trama algo.

Antes de la clase de gimnasia se acerca a la señora Ana, que
es la profesora, le enseña la pierna, más bien flaca, y le dice:

-No puedo jugar. Me duele aquí.

-¿Te duele mucho? —le pregunta la señora Ana.

Sofía dice que si con la cabeza, la mar de convencida.

—Entonces será mejor que te quedes en el banquillo.

Sofía está encantada de lo bien que le ha salido.

Y desde entonces, a la hora de gimnasia, suele dolerle la pierna.

Pero la señora Ana no se lo ha creído del todo.

How Well Are You Prepared For A Job Interview? Quiz time!


You just got into bed after a long day, and you're exhausted. You plan to spend a few minutes on your phone — maybe scrolling Instagram or TikTok — and then sleep.

But when you try to sleep, it's not as easy as you thought it would be. You were so tired — what happened?

According to a new study, your phone may be the problem.

The study, done by researchers at New Zealand's University of Otago, involved 85 kids aged 11 to 14. They each spent a week wearing a body camera on their chest starting from three hours before they got into bed.

A second camera was also placed in their bedrooms to monitor their phone use once they were in bed. They also wore a device that tracked their sleep.

The researchers found that 99% of the participants used their phones in the two hours before bed. More than half used their phones while they were in bed, and about a third used their phones after trying to go to sleep.

The results showed that screen time in bed affected participants' sleep — it stopped them from going to sleep for about half an hour, and also reduced the amount of sleep they got.

The impact was larger when participants had a more interactive experience — such as playing a game — or if they used more than one screen. For every additional 10 minutes of this type of screen time, sleep time was reduced by the same amount.

Interestingly, phone use in the two hours before bed had little impact on sleep.

According to lead researcher Bradley Brosnan, the results suggest that, while current guidelines recommend no screen time in the hour or two before bed, keeping phones out of the bedroom might be enough for a better night's sleep.

Morning Exercise Best for Women's Heart Health
A new study has found that exercising in the late morning is better for women's heart health than exercising at other times of the day.

Researchers from Leiden University looked at data from the UK Biobank to find out whether the time at which people exercise has an effect on heart health. The data was collected from more than 86,000 women and men with an average age of 62.

Participants' exercise times were recorded over seven days, and heart health was observed for six years. The participants were grouped based on the time of day they exercised, including early morning, late morning, midday and evening.

It was found that women who exercised in the early morning — between around 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. — had a 22% lower risk of developing heart disease compared to those who exercised at midday. Women who exercised in the late morning — between around 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. — had a 24% lower risk.

No significant difference was found for men, or for anyone who exercised in the evening.

The data also showed that women who exercised in the late morning had a 35% lower risk of stroke compared to those who exercised at midday.

The benefits of morning exercise were true both for women who prefer waking up early and those who prefer sleeping late.

Study author Gali Albalak said that although she's not sure why exercising in the morning was found to be better for women than men, the results add to the evidence that morning exercise — and especially late morning exercise — may be best for our health.
