In japan,it's suprisingly difficult to find good decaf coffee or tea.
But in the UK, it's every where!
Why is there such a big differences?
I'll talk about my experiences with in both Japan and the UK.

dim: a little dark, not much light
spellbound: fascinated by something
squint: to close your eyes a little because the light is too bright
blush: when your face turns a little red because you like someone
amend: to change something, to improve it

Phrases:
to break the ice: to become comfortable with someone
in my element: to be around something you're completely comfortable with
to seek someone out: to search for a specific person
third wheel: an extra person on a date with the couple

The Magician's Performance (short story)

こんにちは！
Japanese daily life podcast のAtsushiです。
このPodcastは、日本語を楽しく勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

ぼくの日常生活の話を聞くことで、日本語のリスニングをよくしたり、新しい言葉を知ってもらえたらいいなと思います。

今日は、オンラインレッスンで日本語を練習する時に意識すると良いと思うことを話します。

ぼくはオンラインで日本語を教えています。
毎回言っていますけど、italkiというプラットフォームで教えています。

その一方で、ぼくは英語のレッスンを受けています。
これもitalkiで受けています。

この経験をふまえて、今日は、語学習得の時、会話で意識すると良いと思うことについて話します。

・話したいトピックを持っておく
・質問したいトピックを持っておく
・いつもは人にあまり言わないようなことを話してみる

今日は1つ目だけ話します。

・話したいトピックを持っておく

もちろん、話したいトピックがないのは悪いことではないです。ですが、1つトピックがあると、先生はそれを広げてくれます。

例えば旅行に行きます、というトピックだったら、
・どこに行きますか？
・いつ行きますか？
・どれぐらい(何日ぐらい)行きますか？
・どうやって行きますか？
・だれと行きますか？
・なぜそこに決めましたか？

など先生が聞いてくれます。
その内容によって、さらに広げることができます。

例えば、
今度、日本に行きます。
ー日本のどこに行きますか？
ーなぜそこを選んだんですか？
ー他に行きたいところはありますか？

など。

そうやって話はどんどん広がります。
そして、みなさんが日本語を練習する機会が増えますね。

だけど、もし、話したいトピックがなくて、先生からのトピックが好きじゃなかったら、話はあまり広がらないですね。

そうすると、みなさんが日本語を話す機会が減ります。
それはもったいないことですね。


ぼくはオンラインレッスンで、できるだけみなさんが話してもらいたいと思っています。限られた時間でできるだけたくさん話した方が間違いに気づく機会も増えます。反対にいい表現ができることも増えます。


そんなことから、ぜひオンラインレッスンを受ける時は、1つ自分が話したいトピックを持ってみてください。

今まで以上に楽しいレッスンになると思います。
