He is a Japanese author of children's literature.
Although his life was only 29 years, he left us with many stories to tell.

まあ、楽しそうな私！でも、本当は、こんなんじゃないです。もっと静（しず）かな誕生日（たんじょうび）でした。いつもどおり、レッスンしたり、ご飯作ったり、朝起きてから寝るまで、普通（ふつう）の日でした。だから、聞きやすいんじゃないかな。ときどき、文法がわからないかもしれないけど、まあ気にしないで。何となく聞いてみてください。日記だけど「ます」の形が多いのは、みなさんに、今、私と一緒（いっしょ）に経験（けいけん experience）しているように感じてほしいからなんですよ。

「おやすみなさい」は　ねるときの　あいさつの　ことばです。でも、「なさい」は　命令（めいれい）で　つかう　ことばです。子どもが　おとうさんや　おかあさんに　「ねなさい」と命令（めいれい）しているのでしょうか？　へんですよね…。どうして　ねるときに、「おやすみなさい」というようになったのか　調（しら）べてみました。
"Oyasuminasai" is a greeting word when we sleep. But "～nasai" is a word used in command. Does the child order his/her father and mother to to go bed? That's strange... so, I checked why we say "Oyasuminasai" when we sleep.
