Strop. Codswallop. Knackered. Just like the picture of a chair in the street above (no, we don’t get it either), we Brits do say some strange things sometimes – usually because they evolved from the many, many (many) vastly different regional dialects that exist across the UK (or the strange and very long history of the English language.) 「むしろ」について勉強しましょう！

簡単（かんたん）にいうと、「むしろ」は「それより」なんですが、簡単すぎてよく分かりませんね。

このレッスンでは「むしろ」を使って、
みんなとちょっとちがう自分の意見（いけん）を言ってみますよ^^



【むしろ】〈副詞(ふくし)〉
意味：それより

こんな風に使います･･･
比較（ひかく）の文、比(くら)べて何かを選ぶときや、あれよりこれがいいと言いたいときに使われる。
例「休みの日は遊びに行くより、むしろ、家で寝ていたい」（意味：それより、家で寝ていたい）


A。むしろ、B。
（冷静(れいせい)に考えた理由がある⇒理由を聞かれたら、答えることができる。）

A＝一般的な意見。当然の意見。普通の意見。みんなの意見。話し相手が言った意見。
B＝自分の意見（Aの反対(はんたい)意見、Aと全然違う意見）

★★★、いつもは気にしないようなこと、自分の行動に気をつけますか★★★
大事な予定の例：
旅行に出発する日、試験の日（JLPT、会社の面接）、発表・交渉がある日、デートとかお見合いの日とか


①試験・スポーツの試合の前の日…
　「今夜はカツカレー食べようか？」
例）いい（いらない）。それより、むしろ、うどんが食べたい。

②留学(りゅうがく)・出張(しゅっちょう)で長期間(ちょうきかん)外国に行くとき…
「出発前に会おうよ。しばらく会えないから。」
　例）ごめん。（みんなに会って楽しく過ごすより、むしろ、一人(ひとり)で静(しず)かに過ごしたい。）



〈ことば〉
１）今更(いまさら)〈副詞〉今頃(いまごろ)。「もう遅(おそ)い」というニュアンスがある。
２）焦(あせ)る〈動詞〉ドキドキしながら急(いそ)ぐ。ドキドキしてパニックになる。
３）落ち着く（おちつく）〈動詞〉心(こころ)が静(しず)かになる。

Le grand-père de Ciboulet vit au huitième étage d’un bel immeuble. Ciboulet aime bien l'appartement de son grand-père: quand le petit ours regarde par la fenêtre, les gens sur le trottoir paraissent tout petits!
