こんにちは！Atsushiです。
今日の天気は晴れ。気温は21℃。
少し肌寒いです。

今日はもしもし？について話します。

みなさんの国では、電話を取る時、なんと言いますか？
英語を使う国では、Helloとか、Hiというでしょうか。

日本では、電話を取った時、もしもし？といいます。
他の時に使わないので、少し不思議な言葉に感じます。
なぜ、もしもし、と言うか知っていますか？

日本の電話のはじまりは、1890年明治23年でした。
当時は、電話交換をする人、オペレーターのような人がいて、電話をつないでいました。

その人がつなぐ相手に失礼のないよう、
"申します、申します"と言っていました。
ちゃんとつながっているか、言います、言います、と確認していたということですね。

それが短くなり、今のもしもし、となったようです。

その言葉が今も残っていると思うとおもしろいですよね。
日本人に電話をかける時は、ぜひ、もしもし！と言ってみてください。
