Love and Liking in Malayalam — Part 3: Ishtam, Sneham, Pranayam, Marriage | Learn Malayalam #152
說明
Most courses translate English love phrases word for word. This class teaches what Malayalis actually say.
The grammar first: affection usually happens to you, in the dative (എനിക്ക് നിന്നെ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്), and romantic love is directed toward someone with നിന്നോട്. You learn the three words ഇഷ്ടം, പ്രണയം and സ്നേഹം, why a daily 'have you eaten?' can carry more love than any sentence, why the move from നിങ്ങൾ to നീ is a real step, and the words for husband, wife, engagement and marriage.
