مینا و سامان در یک رستوران سنتی نشسته‌اند و وسطِ این همه غذای وسوسه‌کننده دنبال یک شام سبک و سالم می‌گردند. آن‌ها با حذف فسنجون و قورمه‌سبزی، به خاطر چربی پنهان و هضم سنگین، کم‌کم به انتخابی هوشمندانه می‌رسند: جوجه‌کبابِ سینه بدون کره، سبزی‌خوردن تازه، سالاد شیرازی با آب‌غوره و دوغِ پونه‌دار.

日本では10月のことを「神無月（かんなづき）」と呼ぶことがあります。神社の数は（8万8千）はコンビニの数（5万5千）より多いのに、そこから神様はどこにお出かけなんでしょうか。実は島根（しまね）県に出雲大社（いずもたいしゃ）という、大きな神社があって、そちらでサミットのご予定なんです。あちらでは、超過密な「神在月（かみありづき）」、ホストの神様は大忙しです。ちなみに、この神様オオクニヌシは、ヘンリー8世 HenryVIII　みたいです。なぜでしょう？　答えは、聞いたらわかるよ。

4月　新しい制服を着て桜の花をバックに写真を撮る親子を何組か見かけました。
日本の中学校、高校では、ほとんどの学校で制服を着ます。私が通っていた中学校では、女子は　冬はジャンパースカートにブレザーとカッターシャツ、夏は吊りスカートに白いカッターシャツを着て、男子は詰襟（つめえり）とスラックスでした。　高校では、冬は紺色のセーラー服に紺のリボンと紺のスカート、夏は白のセーラー服に紺のスカートを着ていました。男子は同じく詰襟でした。私はこの制服が大好きでした。
学校によって制服が違って、制服を見ればどこの学校の生徒かわかるようになっていました。　ですから、「私たちの制服」という気持ちが強かったと思います。
この制服が、最近　どんどん　変わってきています。　以前は、男子はスラックスで、女子はスカートというスタイルが当たり前でした。でも、今は「性別に関係なく着られる制服」を選ぶ学校が増えてきているのです。　ですから、生徒たちは、スカートでもスラックスでも自分が着たいほうを選ぶことができるのです。
さらに、地域共通のブレザーの制服が広まりつつあるそうです。地域全体で同じ制服を着ることには、いくつかメリットがあって、一つは、制服の値段が安くなること。そして、もう一つは、地域内で引っ越したときに、学校が変わっても制服を買い直さなくてもいいということだそうです。
私個人的には、みんな同じ制服だと、学校ごとの個性がなくなって、なんだか寂しいような気がしますが…。
