   a. Beat around the bush - To avoid addressing an issue directly.
      Example: "Stop beating around the bush and tell me what you really think."
   b. By the book - Following the rules and procedures precisely.
      Example: "The project must be done by the book to meet all the regulations."
   c. Lost in translation - Misunderstood or not effectively conveyed when translated from one language to another.
      Example: "The humor in the movie was lost in translation when it was dubbed into another language."
   d. Keep someone posted - To provide updated information to someone.
      Example: "Please keep me posted on any updates regarding the project."
   e. Break the ice - To initiate or start a conversation or social interaction.
      Example: "He told a joke to break the ice at the party."

C (53) Verbs Set : Marry Massage Master Measure Meditate

みなさんは「はずだ」の意味を知っていますか？例えば、あなたが日曜日に友達にあるカフェに行こうと誘われたとします。あなたはそのカフェは毎週日曜日が休みだと知っています。そんな時は「そのカフェは今日休みのはずだから違うカフェに行きましょう」と言うことができます。
「はずがない」というのは「はずだ」の否定形です。

今、カタールでサッカーのワールドカップが行われています。
おととい、ドイツ対日本のサッカーの試合がありました。
日本はドイツに２対１で勝ちました。
この結果には驚いた人がたくさんいると思います。
私も「日本がドイツに勝てるはずがない」と思っていました。

なぜ勝てるはずがないと思っていたかというと、ドイツのランキングは日本よりずっと上だからです。
日本のテレビでも「ドイツに勝つのはとても難しい」と言っていました。「日本が勝つだろう」と言っていた人はほとんどいませんでした。一方、ドイツでは「日本には簡単に勝てる」と思っていた人がほとんどだと思います。
だから、「日本がドイツに勝った」と友達から聞いた時は信じられませんでした。
「うそ？」「まじ？」「本当？」と言って、本当に勝ったかどうか何度も確認しました。
今は日本のチームがドイツに勝ったことがとてもうれしいです。
ちなみに日本代表チームの選手のほとんどがヨーロッパのチームでプレーしているそうです。

みなさんにも最近「うそ？」「まじ？」と言ってしまうような信じられない出来事が起きましたか？

本当かどうか確認する：ほんとうかどうかかくにんする　make sure if it is true or not　
日本代表チーム：Japan national team
代表：だいひょう representative
うそ？： really? * ”うそ” literally means lie*
まじ？：really?  * sounds very casual*
本当？：ほんとう　really?

In questo episodio parlo del fatto di avere la patente di guida, quel senso di libertà e indipendenza che può darti; le differenze di guidare la macchina in Colombia e in Italia e quanto può essere diverso avere la patente di guida in un paese dove si parla una lingua diversa dalla tua lingua materna, anche per le differenze culturali. A livello grammaticale: uso del tempo indicativo: presente, passato prossimo.
