Hello. I'm a Japanese college student.
I'm studying Korean besides English. Japanese grammar and Korean are very similar. Therefore, Korean is easier for me than English. Moreover, there are many similar words, and the Korean words are easy to remember. However, Korean is difficult because the pronunciation changes. I like kpop, so studying Korean is fun.

Besides does make sense but if you mean you are studying both Korean and English ‘alongside’ is a better word.
