The situation is that you prepared some English exercises for me, so I want to express to you my gratitude. Which one is correct? and also what would you say? Thank you for your preparation or Thank you for preparing that for me.

If you say "thank you for your preparation", it sounds like the person prepared himself/herself for something, so it's confusing... I would say that "thank you for preparing that for me" is better :)
