Regardless of the hefty cost, I am confident that I will shine brightly (adverb not adjective) and become a star!

Regardless of the hefty cost, I am confident that I will shine bright and become a star!

Very good. The only real mistake was "they" instead of "my parents", the other changes are optional and make your English sound more natural!
