Is it ok to have two "in" (same preposition) so close in one sentence? Can you give me another example? Thank you so much! [the discourse of commercialism was embedded into Confucianism in a smart move to increase its own value in cracks in the traditional society. ]

From my understanding it appears that the term "in cracks" is used in a figurative way, as if to say "little by little", to emphasize a notion of progress. That would explain why the preposition "in" is so close to the other one. But to be honest I've never seen that expression so a second opinion would be welcome, I hope that helped anyway :).
