I heard it’s better to use “Ms.” instead of “Mrs.” in general. How about in this situation? It’s for a name list. Mrs. Yoko Sato (Chairperson of the City Assembly) Mr. Fari Grant (Spouse of Mrs. Yoko Sato) Is it possible to write “Spouse of Ms. Yoko Sato”? Or is it better to use “Mrs.” in this case? I would like to make it clear that Fari is Yoko’s husband, since they have different last names.

I would go with Ms Yako Sato, and I would put 'husband' instead of 'spouse' but it depends on the style and culture of the organisation.
