These days I have been so busy with so many things, especially studying English. I know I am not quick to learn, so I need to be patient. Having wasted much time in the past and having failed to focus on any special thing, I now find myself scrambling to catch up before it be too late. On the bright side, I like this. Studying suits me well.
Saying "before it be too late" is not necessary. You can also say "before it is too late". The advantage of saying "be" is that the subjunctive mood adds a feeling of imagination that the simple present lacks.
