I’ve gradually formed my daily English learning habits, and now I would like to apply these habits to my Japanese and Spanish learning. I’ve found shadowing practice quite useful for (quite effective at) improving pronunciation. There are plenty of English shadowing practice videos on YouTube, so I supposed there would also be other languages’ versions. However, I only found a few Japanese and Spanish shadowing practice videos. The most surprising discovery today has been a Spanish shadowing practice video that is almost the same as the English one that I watch every day for practice. Not only the structure of these two videos but also the stories in them are similar. There are even the same sentences in these two stories. The only difference is the language, one (is in) English, the other (is in) Spanish. Isn’t this plagiarism? Although I really like the original English version, and hope there are similar videos in other languages, I feel uneasy about practicing with the Spanish version.
