My first name contains two Chinese characters: Hao and Yue. Hao is usually used to refer to the giant sky. Yue is a verb that means to read or to experience. In my childhood, I didn't like my name very much, as it was difficult to read and write for an elementary school student. Many classmates, and sometimes even a few teachers, made mistakes in pronouncing or spelling my name. Besides, since this is not a feminine name, I was often mistaken for a boy when people knew only my name but had never seen me. This sort of misunderstanding troubled me. However, as I get older, I'm growing fond of my name. People say that the name is the first gift given by your family. I love the meaning of mine. Every time I think about it, I feel the expectations of my family. Life is a journey. Just take it easy, read more, and experience more.
