I think Chris is correct on the pronunciation, but not the explanation. the EST ending used like this was on of the conjugations. e.g GOEST, SEEST, BEEST, etc.

This is an old form of the suffix -ist which is used in modern words such as 'cyclist' (one who cycles) or 'harpist' (one who plays the harp) or 'socialist' (one who believes in socialism), etc.
It really means 'one who is' and you pronounce it like the word 'be' plus the ending 'ist'.
The word 'seest' would be pronounced 'seeist' (one who sees).
These are archaic forms so we don't use them in modern English

Hello guys, this is teacher Princewil, today we are going to learn idioms, their meaning and examples. First what is the importance of idioms?
Idioms are particularly useful because they give you a new, creative way to express yourself. Rather than saying 'You're correct', you could say 'You hit the nail on the head', which is a more complex and interesting expression.

I can't believe it. Tommy said he's too shy to ask that girl out.
4) "Keep/hold someone’s feet to the fire"
🧐Meaning:
Pressurizing someone to approve and undertake something.

An unsuccessful/failed attempt.

To joke with someone, to trick someone in a humorous way
