Is either of these correct grammar-wise? "We wouldn't have needed to take sandwiches." "We wouldn't need to have taken sandwiches."

Hi Kristin! Yes, you'd use the first one in a conditional sense. "Had we known the restaurant would be open, we wouldn't have needed to take sandwiches"
