I read a book about the history of Canada in Japanese lately. There are a lot of interesting stories for me. I tried to convert some stories from Japanese to English. The following sentences are from the book that I read. Could you please review my sentences? 1. In March, 1867, Canada became a dominion from the colony of the UK and the day is the national fundation day. 2. Canada's food sufficiency rate is 230% and the nations whose the rate is more than 100% is Australia, the USA, Canada and France only. 3. McDonald Japan imports almost all potatoes from a Canadian company, McCain Foods. 4. There are nine countries only which have more than 100% of the energy sufficiency. Canada is ranked fifth behind Indonesia. 5. Pierre Trudeau normalized the diplomatic relationship with China and that's earlier than the USA. 6. There are around 100 kinds of maple and only 5 kinds of that can make the maple sirup. In addition, the term of the harvest is quite limited.

The following sentences are from the book I read. Could you please review my sentences? 1. In March, 1867, Canada became a Dominion of the British Empire and that day is its national day. 2. Canada's food self-sufficiency rate is 230% and the only nations whose rate is more than 100% are: Australia, the USA, Canada and France. 3. McDonald’s Japan imports almost all potatoes from a Canadian company, called McCain Foods. 4. There are nine countries only, which have more than 100% of energy self-sufficiency. Canada is ranked fifth behind Indonesia. 5. Pierre Trudeau normalized diplomatic relations with China earlier than the USA. 6. There are around a 100 kinds of maple trees and maple sirup is made from 5 of them only. In addition to that, the time of the harvest is quite limited.
First of all, good job! Make sure you read the English equivalent and historical terms so your translation is more accurate. National foundation day is specifically japanese, for Canada it’s only: national day. Canada was a Dominion of the British Empire, not the UK. Additionally, the national day, also called “Canada Day” is July 1st, not March. 頑張れ👍
